Sorry, Ziggy, I was on a wind up. I remember poll and council tax. But here our rates and water rates are an all in payment on one bill. Ours last year was approx. £580.

Our petrol's 146.9 a litre at the moment and rising. It's gone up 2p in a week.

Sorry Longk, I thought I might get that sort of response. I'd like to point out though that general day to day living costs here are more expensive than the mainland. We win some we lose some! :)

Oh Gawd, on the old board I could have sorted this, but I don't have the right mod tools to copy & separate the thread:doh:

Not for long though. He wasn't welcomed, shall we say, when he moved here. He was also addicted to fish and chips apparently. :heehee: Not a good diet for an officer of the law.

 It's not that Pete, on the old board I would have moved it, copied & split it into 2 separate threads, we just don't have the same tools here.

I assume they are there, but not yet up and running.

Well, I'm just glad it's Spring...it's quite wonderful to watch the buds finally break and that hint of green come back to our landscape. And from tomorrow we will get lighter evenings and the day will start to stretch out once more.

            Steve...:)
