Hi Hel. certainly go for the bannana and give it a try they are quite easy, if it's Musa Basjoo with a little protection you could leave it out all winter or you can grow it in a large pot and drag it in the g/house over winter;)

Hi Freddy I know what you mean I only got my cold frame last year and I think pretty late on at that but I still managed to fill it with loads of cuttings some of which I'm giving away.....nothing like spreading the love!

Alright Walnut it's banana's for me then... Bob will be pleased as he wanted to buy me it then and there you never know maybe I'll pick up two!;)

Thanks Shiney I did think I would be a single mother this time round and bring up baby by myself but Bob had other ideas, strange how he didn't like getting his hands 'dirty' with our boys mucky nappies when they were babies but now with his new baby he doesn't mind in the least but then again it is different kind of dirt we are talking about now...he's such a cheater!:D Hel.xxx.

Silly me I had thought have if the greenhouse was a diffused twinned walled polycarbonate glazing it would be ok not to have any shading in it but it appears that I was wrong as was the company that sold it to me.:(

Some of my plants appear to have been scorched by the sun only on a few of the leaf edges and not all are effected although my Jacobs Ladders seem to have been the worst off. The greenhouse gets the sun from first thing in the morning until sundown we open the window (or should I say Bob does) and we are also fixing some netting up at the door way so the door can remain open in the daytime and it will also keep the local cats out not to mention my two old ladies.

When we moved here 2 years ago Bob saved all the bubble wrap and placed it in the attic do you think scorch is my problem? if so Bob needs to go and bring down his bubble wrap he'll be quite pleased with himself as he was sure he would need it sometime! Hel.xxx.

Yes Coub the whole thing is diffused any ideas what's wrong?
Could it be Bob's affection for them is getting too much for the little mites? as he's always watering them even when I say that's enough!

It appears to be affecting just my Lobelia seedlings and Jacob's Ladder the others are doing ok although some of the older lower leaves on my cucumber plants appear to be a little yellow in colour.

Go on tell me it's Bob's fault and I'll get my whip out to him!:DHel.xx.
