Yesterday I got 8 right and most were guesses, today I got 8 right and felt hard done by, coz I knew them all, and only guessed the two!

Here's the one that got me giggling today:

    7. I really want to meet Ron. I know he lives in the same city as me. He sent me his photo, heĆ¢??s so cute. I really know him inside and out from our chatting on-line. No one is going to talk me out of meeting him. Where should I go to meet him?

    Your Answer: A noisy restaurant

If you insist on meeting Ron, please at least meet at a busy restaurant. Preferably during a busy dinner time hour. I would also like to suggest that you bring a friend or even another couple to sit close-by you.

What's that got to do with Science and Technology?!? Took me ages to read the question too! ;)

That was my worst round ever!

Well done Moyra, Shiey and Pip - and all the others who will beat my score today! Really did it today using the 'haven't had number three in a while' method! Obviously doesn't work! :D

My last day for a while aswell - going off to Edinburgh for a night, then way up North camping! Again - no plug points (even if I had a laptop!)

Moyra, what did you mean about it updating soon? How does that work?

Have a lovely break Jarbax. Looks like the weather should be kind for you. :thumb::D

When I said the site would be updating soon - it does every morning around 10ish. If you get caught doing your turn when that starts you end up like vegmandan did with a colossal timing and it doesn't really matter how many you get right because it will put you at the bottom on time alone. :(:( :D:D

Can anyone understand how the scoring works......because I sure cannot! Right now with five played Shiney has only been given the same points as the two below him and yet I have the same as vegmandan. Surely Shiney should have the same as me and dan as he scored 10 under a hundred seconds. Doesn't make sense.:confused::confused:

Moyra, I don't take much notice of the scoring when there aren't too many scores there :). Later on they seem to stretch out and seem more logical.

I can't even scroll through and read the questions in 52 seconds  :( :o :).

I know Shiney it seems incredible to do it that quick.........bet Dan can read a book cover to cover in no time at all. Lol. I think it does depend whether you have seen the question before or how short the questions are how quickly you can get through. I am improving a bit on timing since my wrist is on the mend. Still painful this morning though. Time I gave it a rest.

I can read really fast in short bursts like this quiz.

Here's a test for you to do.

Click the link and try the test. http://www.readingsoft.com/

I managed 515 words per minute, going ridiculously quickly and not taking anything in and 330 reading normally.

I got 220 reading normally with 91% comprehension.

I then got 334 reading fast and, presumably, taking it in fairly well. The comprehension test would not be fair as I remembered all the previous questions and answers.

The problem with doing the quiz is that I read the questions very carefully to make sure that I have understood them.  :D

Shiney, I can see that Dan has honed his skills on this fast reading but it took me a score of 215 to read it through and was trying to find something of interest in it.........I was so bored I didn't bother with the test. Maybe I shall live to regret it. I am however qualified to take pitman's shorthand at 180 words a minute and could read that a darn sight quicker! :thumb::D
