Jimcub - You could try doing a right click on your photoshop icon, and selecting properties/compatibility. It might be possible to run it in Windows XP mode.

I have had disks that Windows 8/10 refused to install. But if I go into the disk and run the install program itself, some will still install. However that doesn't mean they will run. Then you try the compatibility setting.

I am irritated that the old Freecell doesn't work. The new version is rubbish - there is no scoring system. I couldn't get the old version to work in Windows 10, but I am hoping, one day, to get virtual box to run - it won't so far but perhaps that is because Windows 10 is so new.

Virtual Box is a free program that sets up a virtual Windows XP or 98 machine inside your Windows 10 machine. Its easy to install. But you do need to install an old operating system, which means having an old disk. Currently mine will only run in the minimum resolution and number of colours. Its supposed to do better than that.
