Basicly a 100' pine trunk that you race up with climbing spurs and a strop. I do it once a year at the Royal welsh show.

Im never the fastest by a long way as although Ive got upper body strength, i dont have the leg muscles, the best guys doing it are fell runner types.

    Anesthus,

The VFs i did were, Piazetta, strobel, trincee and triadentina ranging from grades 2B - 5C ( hrdest (triantiana). I intend to go back next year with a hire car and spend a whole 10 days doing all VF, this year I did a lot of high level walking also.

Paul-exactly what is it that you are on? !00 yd vertical climb!

Well keep working on those thigh muscles, and keep us updated on your progress-we can offer feedback on things like definition etc.

Are you happier now gorgeous? I do miss your usual sunny self you know.

Oh well, that`ll have to do I suppose. Back to fruitless crushes on film heroes then. Some things never change, and that includes me growing up ha ha.

to Paul I have never been to the Dolomites and quite fancy some VF. It looks fantastic! Me and Mrs A do quite a bit of rock climbing and are currently looking for somewhere sunny to head off to in October (if she gets her new job and some holidays)

    to Claire
read today that ivy is fine (apart from taking over ) on buildings with sound brick work. If brickwork and mortar are poor then the ivy will loosen it. And it will damage paint work.

Thanks Antheus-confirms what I suspected-bad workmanship not ivy pulls walls down.
