    Beautiful Marley.

The flowering plant is a Lantana

The red leafed one is a Blood Leaf / Iresine

I don't know the name of the one with the red and green leaves that is starting to flower, but it does look a bit familiar.

[IMG] This varigated one is usually seen here as a green houseplant I think, but I have never seen one flower before. So was surprised to see these little red flowers. Thanks to Strongy I now know this is Pedilanthus tithymaloides Slipper flower (Euphorbiaceae

I think this is Frangipani glorious flowers & big leaves.

    I think this is Lantana.

    Pink Bouganvillea.

Is the top one of the latest posting some sort of Wandering Jew? Never seen one blooming in red before, just white or creamy-white.

[IMG] Here's one for you Strongy.. A young Geko I think peeping out of the leaf. There are lots of them about. Found them facinating. 2 would always spend the evenings on the patio wall looking down on us...!! ;)

This is known locally as Rose Ginger & grows wild in the mountains. There are several clumps in the garden. Beautiful flowers that came out at night & were gone by mid day..

This is a Coral Hibiscus- hibiscus schizopetalus just opening. They are so striking.

These wild iris grow in a damp shady corner at the back. They call them wild scallions. Trimezia martinicensis..

Not sure if I have seen these with a flower on before either..

Seem to have a few clumps of these Spider Lilies.

[IMG] Thanks for the IDs Kedi, will go & add them in a minute. As for the one you say may be Wandering Jew, I am not sure, as that isn't what I call a wandering jew. I thought perhaps it was a Dumb Cane-dieffenbachia, or something similar. There are lots of them around, but that was the only one I saw with a flower on.. Will look a bit more.. [IMG]

These are wonderful, Marley. I'm not sure I agree with Sis on the Wandering Jew (Tradescantia) ... and I find the Bird of Paradise rather strange also.

You are correct with the Lantana, I have four different hybrids.

I have a white Bougainvillea (not blooming at the moment) which has tinges of pink and green on it ... so delicate.

And of course I just love the Hibiscus schizopetalus and hope you'll bring back some cutting from your next visit. [IMG]

Thanks for sharing these exotic beauties with us.

Yes, I think you are right, but I don't know this plant at all, rather interesting.

Also, and I am probably completely wrong here ... are you sure that's a dwarf Poinciana (Delonix)? I thought they only had red flowers ... pete and I are growing one from a seed miraflores sent each of us.

Marley the two you are not sure of are ,
1st one is (get this for a tongue twister) Pedilanthus Tithymaloides, known as the Zig zag plant and Devil's backbone to name a few and the other one is Caesalpinia Pulcherimma Flava(not Delonix although there is a yellow one). [IMG]

Marley , I've just gone through the pics again and you rightly ID the Dwarf Poinciana although it is Flava, the problem is which confuses people is that Delonx is the Royal Poinciana whereas Caesalpinia is the Dwarf Poinciana.
Thanks for putting up the one of the Anole, similar to a gecko but has no toe pads for climbing flat walls and they change colour like a Chameleon.
The Hibiscus are stunning and yes we would all like Schizopetalus!

I'd say clever you, strongy, but then you are and that's your business. [IMG]

It's quite a different Caesalpinia than I saw in Spain ... is this what the ones will look like, assuming they germinate, that you sent me? I remember the one in Spain was a trailing plant hanging down a wall.

[IMG] Phew Strongy!! So glad you came back on the Poinciana. It took me a while to find that one..!! :D There is another tree there, but it is next door. It is about 6' tall & where this had self seeded from. [IMG]

[IMG] Thanks to you Strongy for the correction on the Anole. Yes they did change colour & the ones that watched us each evening were always a sandy colour & I did notice the feet. Actually come to think of it. Only saw the Anole in the daytime so would I have only seen Gekos at night?

Oh yes & one more Srtongy. there is a plant with red & green leaves with small white flowers at the base.. Any ideas on that one too?? Pretty please.. [IMG]
