Real infra-red photography is a joy to behold. Pseudo infra-red can be acheived digitally but its not the same. Lacks quality and depth. Glad someone is still using film [IMG]

[IMG] Good to see WOO.. I used to work in photographic processing years ago & we had some outstanding photos that would have had no affect in colour....!! Not very much real B&W photography today.. Or nightime come to think of it... Think I might have to dig another camera out....!!! They are such nice looking pics, any chance you could resize them so we can see them better WOO??... :D

Hi WOO. Pseudo infra-red is where photos are taken on digital cameras and altered so that they look like infra-red black and white film shots. The colour is drained out and the contrast wacked up, skies turned black and foliage turned white. You can get quite close, but they lack the attraction of real black and white photos developed in a chemical darkroom. Just my opinion of course.

[IMG] Thanks WOO.. I didn't notice the way the light played on those trees when I was taking it.. I was interested in how far forward to walk at the time, so was pleased when I downloaded them to find it like that... It does add something I agree.. I took them on the nightime setting as well as it was dark in there, but with a fairly short exsposure time..... :D

    P.S.
If I claim my human rights to non-discrimination as a member of a multi-ethnic minority belief group i.e. The Tay Valley Julian Calendar Observation Believers The above photograph falls within the parameters set for this month's competition. The TVJCOB only recognise the Gregorian calendar when it suits them. In this case it does and the photo taken on the 31st Dec 2006 (Julian) can be interpreted by those who allowed themselves to be conned into accepting the Gregorian calendar as being taken on 13th January 2007.
    (Confused? I am!) :D :D ;)
