Jetfire bulbs

    Two seasons ago I bought twenty packs of tulips for a Quid, yes 5p per pack, in our local garden centre in the January sale, some of the bulbs were already sprouting.

    I did not have high hopes when I planted them in rows in my allotment, but they were marvellous and flowered on time as well!

    I left them in and they flowered almost as well this Spring.
    I lifted them after flowering this time, most of the bulbs were fairly small, but I will plant them all on some part again this winter.

    So it would appear, not to worry if you do not plant your tulips until later in the winter!
