July Photo Competition

    There and I thought Canna's could be heavy and dark - I didn't realise how light the leaf could be.

    The dahlia - I don't know (hanging head in shame) - its one I've had for some 5 years, and I didn't keep the label. Lift it after the first frosts, wash off the soil and then leave it on paper out of direct sunlight in the greenhouse til early spring before starting it again. Seems to work for me

    Soz Paladin, (big groan for the puns!) this is my anorak side coming out, but where I come from bog bean is Menyanthes trifoliata & Ludwigia is purslane - hence thinking it was a southern "thang" :rolleyes: or is it a knightly thing ;)
