    Banana Man, I have Rhapsody in Blue over here and it's doing extremely well. My blooms have an irridescent sheen to them. It won Rose of the Year in 2003.

    Sorry Rosietu, I havent got a clue - it was here when we moved in [​IMG] I cut it back year before last and it wasnt up to much last year but has come up trumps this year [​IMG] Praps someone can identify it for us ;)

    Jazid,i love your pic taken at the fern nursery.they look so alien to me,as if the taller shoots are keeping watch and saying,"you can come out now,the coast is clear." :D

    Great pic of the male Stag Beetle. Quite a scarce creature now. Love it!

    I thought so too Rosietu, you must have some oaks nearby. Haven't seen one in years. :(

    Oh is that what it is? Yup we have loadsa Oaks around here that is one of the things I missed in East Anglia, As kids we were sent to collect the acorns for the pigs :D

    Like the pic of the pomegranate Lady of Leisure, I have the dwarf one which flowers in a month or so, but I assume thats the real thing.

    I had a dwarf one which somehow I managed to kill off ... horrors! Good luck with yours, Pete. Yes, the photo is the real thing. They are in full bloom here at the moment with these beautiful flowers and glossy leaves. Funny this is, even here they are deciduous!

    That interesting, because I do have some plants that I grew years ago from pips, planted in the garden, they have never flowered, but have survived some bad winters, one year cut to the ground by frost, but recovered the following summer.Last winter they kept some leaves nearly all winter.

    I have got quite a few little bushes and one bigger one which will be 4 years old soon. No flowers yet- has anyone got any?

    ;) This has been a challenging subject as it is actually quite hard to find things "bursting out" that you can get a good shot of...!!!!! :rolleyes:
    :D There are some brilliant photos this month too. ..I think the standard rises every month..!! :D
