    A whumper is a local name for a big trout, this one was returned to the small burn, all be it a stocked fish washed in from the local stocked loch and not the normal wild fish.

      It could have been, but I often put fish back including Cod from the local shore, I do eat fish, but I like to eat it the same day I catch it and my pizza was already made for that day.
