Just joined Gardeners Corner and looking forward to meeting up with kindred spirits.

Hello everyone and a big thank you to Gardeners Corner for welcoming the Gardeners' World people. I was with Gardeners' World for 12 years. it's good to see old friends here. I joined last night but I've been travelling so this is my first post. On the GW Forum I was Busy-Lizzie but I've had to change my name as there is already a Busy-Lizzie here, so now I'm Etoile Violette, a clematis. I have it in my garden in France and OH's garden in Norfolk. I thought it could be suitable being French though really I should have called myself after an English rose as they are my favourite flowers.

I'm editing my post as @Fat Controller has kindly got me my name back. Thank you.

 

Some of us have been on here for close to 20 years and still don't know what we are doing so don't worry.

 

Oh Balc it has been so nice getting all the lovely welcome messages after a day that left me at, least, feeling bereft. Now surrounded by old friends and looking to make new ones my day has been made very special. Thank you so much.

Thank you @Balc for the warm welcome.Can you tell me what the little symbols at the bottom of a post mean please? I think I know what the tick means and also the heart but the others are a mystery. Have noticed a post saying that to rate someone is a good thing but how do I do that? Thanks in advance.

 

Excuse any error here - 1st post! Picked the quote of @strongylodon simply for the bee-eater . Many GW members seem lost but that's normal on a new forum. So take your time, look around and try! Nothing gets broken and at worst you look a bit silly! Now my passion is chillies and herbs (inc garlic) .... So where is the best post GC members? Or do I simply start a new thread and if so where?

 

Its a bit easier on PC / laptop you can hover the curser over them - thumbs up = Like - Smiley face = funny - Blue circle i = Informative - spanner = useful - artist brush = creative
