      It's all from a few bought in plants, divided and bulked up over a couple of years to get enough to make a lawn. I tried sowing some but none germinated.

      It's not so rampant in my garden pete, it's struggled to get going in my dry chalk and I've had problems with birds scratching it up this spring. I really do hope it makes a thick mat, I'm hoping for something that resembles a grass lawn but also flowers.

              This winter has been the right conditions for moss. I've filled at least six wheelie bins full with it, just from the flower beds. :doh:

                This winter has been very mild , had a look at the top end of my back lawn, it is full of moss . I'll treat it with iron sulphate when it can stop raining for two hours !

                      Mine is like a trampoline:rolleyespink: It's absolutely dreadful. Wasn't ever very good but now it's spot THE GRASS. Even 1 of the people who has been to buy plants made some remark about my grass being lovely and soft to walk on....I'll say:wallbanging:. Have a large area and there is no way I am going to scarify it. What would come out would fill Wembly stadium. I'll just have to attempt to keep it looking sort of like a patch of grass I never did call it lawn! I would hurl some lime at it as the acidic conditions don't help but there are huge beds all round the grass which contain Rhododendron Azaleas, Camellias etc and I would worry the possible limey run off would affect them. Like my plants better than the grass so it will just have to get on with it!

                            Hi @JWK i'd just like to say :thankyou: so much for adding your link and for myself on bookmarking it, it's been a lovely privilege to watch the transformation of your home besides your garden...Under heating floors and excellent idea besides your folding window doors but outside well...the diagrame before you started said it all and the final finish was ACE :star:

                            Your Garden steps look lovely and also the waterfall...that does cast another look on to your back garden as you step out and that's before you venture and the surrounding detail and your plants have matured excellent...the hard work along the way was worth the hard graft...my hubby does what you do, takes pictures before hand :snorky:

                            I just :wub2: it :love30::love30::love30:
