Superb slideshow Kedi! Looks like you are having a wonderful holiday! Make the most of every second, and keep taking tons of pics!

Was that a strange horned red and black spider in the first show???

P.S. - let me know when you're home again - I have some phuopsis waiting to send! :)

(O2, you can make a slideshow of your pics in photobucket, then post the lik on here. It is a fairly new feature, and a great way to show lots of pictures, without individually uploading each into your post!)

    Thanks 02, susannah and JarBax.

02, JarBax has answered your question. As said, when I started this thread, Wyldeflower did the slideshow for me, and for some obscure reason I never put the other ones up. I just realized last evening that I should have been copying them from her forum to this one. So I'll do so now. Here is the next one -

(Jane, we'll be home this coming Wednesday, so any time after that, thanks!)

Thanks 02. The alligator was several meters away and a fence inbetween, I was perfectly safe.

Just see I haven't answered about the spider, JarBax . Yes, is a wonderful spiked spider (I love spiders). I must look up the name again, something Orbweaver.

I got sidetracked before and didn't get the other slideshows up, I'll do so now.

Wow, Sis, what a spectacular kaleidoscope of critters .... no flora and fauna .... hasn't photography been great this past year? How did we manage before?

Wonderful pictures, wonderful memories .... I bet you'll be sad in a way to be going home on Wednesday ... thanks for sharing your special moments. xx

    Thanks Sis and Pete.

I often wonder about that too, Sis, but then I never did take anywhere near as many pics as I do now. The beauty of digi is being able to delete the tacky bad ones right away and not have to pay for them to be developed before discarding.

Pete, these frangi-panis are in the kids garden here and I plan on cutting a bit off to take home to try and root. I've seen them for sale, just pieces of the branches about a foot long, and according to the guy I asked, they only need to be potted up to grow. Well, they do here in Florida, shall have to wait and see what they do in Germany. What was your method?

I found some good links about them, including one with the different colours - heavenly! It appears that this is the flower the Hawaiians make the luas (?) from.

Leaving Tuesday, Sis, back home on Wednesday morning. Flying Tampa, Charlotte NC, Munich, Bremen this time.

Bring back as many plumerias as you can Kedi.
The prices over here are atronomical for good named ones, ( dont know about in Germany).

They root relatively easily from leafless shoots about 6 ins long or more, in sand in a propagator with the top off.
Seeds give an unreliable plant, (which is what I have).

The reason I know the cuttings root easily is that I have cut my seed grown plants down in the past and rerooted them.

Well, I don't want to chop the kids tree down completely, Pete! I don't think they would like that at all.

I thought of taking one, perhaps two cuttings at the most, from where they are growing in the wrong direction / way. Do they have to be top cuttings, or would a middle bit do as well? The ones I saw for sale (cheap too!) were all top ones.

No idea of the name of these ones. Don't have place in the suitcase anyway, shall bring them in my hand luggage, so limited space. I have a giant corm (I think it is) of an Elephant Ear plant, I have always fancied one of them.
