Oh, Sis ... you are putting me to shame .. . how beautiful everything is. But I have chosen to live in a sort of hot, dryish country so I can't expect to grow delicate, moisture-loving plants .... xx

Strangely your beautiful white clove-scented Dianthus never survived with me where Carnations do .... I don't know what a Dictamus is or Akalei (must look up) and your Azaleas are as gorgeous as ever.

    Stunning .... xx

    Thanks Sis and Bob.

I don't have any delicate plants here, they are all sturdy and get along by themselves with little water. I've given up pampering plants, they either grow or they die.

I wanted to put the Dictamus up in the thread that you started, Sis, under Pretty in Purple. I was sure you put it in the ID section but I can't find it. These are the first two blooms open this year.

Sorry, I meant Aqueliega not Akalei, don't know why I wrote that in German.

Bob, I had some pink Tradescantia once, but they unfortunately didn't survive. I never got one of the white ones that I read about. These blue ones are tough and have been going on for years. They are lovely fillers.

Steve R - here are the promised photos. We have an L-shaped house, so we'll be turning corners.

This is on the side of the house next to the livingroom, you can see a bit of the Wintergarten on the left -

Continue walking and you come to this path, through what used to be "The Woods" (about 5-6 trees!), leading to the rockery at the back of the pond -

From here you can see the pond and right along to the veggie patch -

    The rockery -

A view from the other side of the pond -

Turning the corner, former bog on near side and new Woodland on the other side of the path. I'm working on it -

    Continued -

View towards veggie patch from in front of the pond. The new Woodland is the curved bed just after the pond, the path comes out there -

The veggie patch, showing off new path and ladder construction over 2 courgette pots -

Looking from a corner behind the veggie patch across the garden to the far side, where we started this walk -

Moving forwards, now you can see part of the Wintergarten and lower patio with wall. Top patio has no wall -

View of pond from near where we started off -

WOW..Stunning garden and lots of work too..I'll bet.

Umm..when can I move in? I'll be no touble and live in a shed somewhere down the bottom, behind the veggies. I'll mow the grass and do slug patrol every night..:D

Thanks for the overall pictures, lovely natural feel to the garden.

    Steve...:)

Kedi your garden is so beautiful:thumb: I was reading an article the other day and it was saying that in Germany the gardens are quiet large a bit like the garden used to be in the UK.I can see what they mean.Do you know the size of your garden?:)

Thanks Steve, Gogs, DAG and Kandy.

A volenteer slug patroller? Come right over, Steve, and you'll even get a room in the house instead of the shed!

Lots of work, DAG, but fortunately we share it - Mr Kedi does the work and I think up new things to do!

Kandy, if I remember correctly, our garden is 977 square meters / 10,512.52 square feet. However, we have a long driveway since we don't live directly on the road, and a large forecourt, double garage and house take up a lot of space. So I can't say how big the garden actually is, perhaps 2/3rds of the actual plot?
