    Goodness ... that look quite tropical, K-G! I could do with a bit of that down here at the moment! :rolleyes:

    Can you tell us what's what?

    Hi Kedi-Gato Surely your exotic weed is the Arum italicum marmoratum- I could be wrong!

    Hi seeker, and yes, my exotic weed is exactly what you say. I just googled and came up with these other names for it -

    Italian Lords-&-Ladies;
    or, Large Cuckoo's Pint;
    or, Marbled Arum;
    or, the Willy Lily;
    or, Aaron's Pen (Aronskelk);
    or, Aaron's Staff (Aronstab)

    "When sweet wild April
    Dipped down the dale,
    Pale cuckoopint brightened,
    And windflower trail."
    -William Force Stead
    (1884-1945)

    I must say that I had only ever heard the first and last ones up till now. Different names in different areas.

    It's very green ... a bit too much! Your Hydrangea is going to be a treat. I have mine in the log planter in the pergola but it's more pink than blue this year. It's the first photo in the June thread.

    I don't know why the photos are so green now, used to be fine until Hubby altered something on a dull day recently, and now we can't get it back right. Does anyone know why?

    He probably adjusted the "white balance" (assuming your camera has that control) or maybe one of the preset scene types which some cameras have, like portrait/landscape/close up.
    Easiest way if you don't know which was altered, take careful note of control positions now, alter one control at a time through all positions, taking a pic at each postition, check the resulting pics, if you have got rid of the green cast great, if not return that control to where you started, then repeat for each of the other controls until you find the culprit. (some cams may only have one or two controls, others will have more.)

    When you have an hour or so to spare, go through each control again and note down the effect of each position, so next time you know what was changed.

    Thanks Mike. I have altered a couple of things and I'll try it out tomorrow. Fingers crossed that this green tinge will be gone.

    Thanks Kandy. I altered the camera, did as Mike said and today I am rid of the green tinge, TG!
    I posted a few pics in "What's looking good in June" and in the new thread that Mike started about pinks and Sweet Williams.

    Thanks for your help Mike.

    Our Weeping Birch. The yellow azalea is under it.

    Our very tall Atlas Cedar.

    An assortment of shrubs and trees with Hubby's "tree seat".

    A nameless climbing rose, it has a faint smell.
