Thanks Sis, and sorry, thought everyone would know, so I'll just name the less obvious ones -

    First lot -

    1 - Castor Oil Plant

2 - wild Majoran or Oragano

    3 - Spirea

4 - don't know, someone will hopefully ID it for me

    5, 6 & 7 are known to everyone

    Second lot -

    1 - Japanese Anenome

2 - Eucomis (my garden pineapple plant, now in bloom)

    3 - close-up of Eucomis flowers

Sorry, Sis, these are not plants I can grow and didn't in the UK either.

You must remember there are lots of newbies here who haven't got a clue and trying to learn ... like me as I really only sort of know Med stuff ... I suggest you name as most of us do or say you don't know and can someone identify. Maybe I'm just jealous ...

Love your photo's KG.It seems like Euchomis are the in bulbs at the moment.I have about four growing but the ones Mr Kandy said to leave in the garden failed to show this year.Luckily I overwintered some in the greenhouse. All your plants are fantastic.Well done to you [IMG]

Kathy, sorry I haven't answered before now. My Eucomis is in the garden and stays there the whole year round. This one is on a south-facing wall so it is rather protected but the other one that sowed itself out some years ago, is in an open space and we don't even give it winter cover. So they seem to be quite hardy even though they look rather delicate.

Kandy, thanks too. Ours have bloomed every year since we had them. The second lot that sowed themselves out, are only now beginning to bloom, whereas the others have been doing so for a couple of weeks.

Oh, we just have ordinary garden soil Kathy.

Thanks high kype, it is a begonia. We made a mixed planter this year using this red begonia, 2 yellow Tagetes (one lighter and one darker), blue lobelia and pink Semperflorens (sorry, I don't know the English name of them). The result is so lovely that we will do such a mix again next year.
