KG,I have both of those you have listed. The bottom one I bought two of last year has the label Vandermerwei-Octopussy with spotty leaves and the flowersa are just the same.I have planted the Octopussy in the garden but will bring them in before the winter sets in.They are only small bulbs.

I have seedlings growing of the normal Euchomis and hopefully will be able to grow them to flowering size

Kandy, I have never bothered to look if mine produces seeds but I will do so this year and if I discover some, then they are yours.

kedi,I always try to get seeds off of everying I grow then I can have the pleasure or sowing them and watching them grow. The seeds will be black but I think some of the pods got knocked off before they were fully ripe so I had to dry them off.Thankyou for that

Kandy, the pods still look very green and fresh on my Eucomis but I check on them every couple of days. Think they will take another couple of weeks though.

Thanks Sis, and look at what a beauty we have blooming now. We got a bag of the bulbs cheap and got lots of leaves in no time, thought that we'd never get blooms, when all of a sudden, these beautiful flowers appeared. They have a lovely delicate scent too.

That is a beauty ... it's Acidanthera, the Abyssinian Gladiolus. Flowering can take several years for them. It did for mine and then only for one year because stupid me moved them from the Skwijery to the Serras ... dodo or what? Now I wait yet again. I guess you know they are not frost hardy and the cormlets should be dug up in October and replanted in April, which sounds to me like you have to wait again, but then maybe flowering is decided on by the size of the cormlets ... so what happened to mine?

Actually, I thought I gave you some of these ... I think I sent Dendro some ... where is she these days ???

    Thanks Sis.

I saw that windy has them, she also got them on sale, and hers are blooming wonderfully too. She called them Pea Orchids. The lable on ours said Gladiole Murielae. Now that you mention it, I can remember you saying you had Abyssinian Gladiolus. Ours are in a pot, so I'll just leave them in there and bring the pot into the WG - or should we dig the corms up?

I think I saw Dendy on here a week or so ago, but only briefly. I bet she has a lot to do at this time of the year.

I think they'll be okay in the pot in the WG, thought you had them in the ground. I wouldn't move them to be honest!

Yes, I think I did as well and yes also I agree.
