Thanks Woo, Kandy, Rosa and Walnut.

If you change your mind, Walnut, just say so.

    How about you, Woo?

A few days ago, I read that it doesn't have to stand with it's feet in water like ours does, a boggy area is also well suited for it.

Beautiful, Sis ... makes me feel 'cool' just looking at your garden. :)

I've copied the pic of the two water lilies for my screen saver ... fantastic shot. xx

    Thanks Strongy and 02.

Here is what the pond looks like on a cloudy day -

Two lovely pale pink water lilies. There were 15 open when I took this pic a couple of days ago.

Absolutely gorgeous pond, and pictures of it Kedi!

The cotton grass reminds me of the moorland around here ad Up North. Lovely to have it growing in your garden. Have you tried harvestng it? :D

Waterlilies looking lovely too (especially the two pale pink ones) - ours hasn't flowered this year - I disturbed it and infact reduced it somewhat when clearing the failed frogspan in the spring.

    Thanks JarBax.

I recently read that it can cover great expanses of moorland. Up till then, I thought that it had to grow with it's feet in the water, but the article went on to say about it growing in the moorlands. It must look beautiful to see a huge area covered with it.

Our waterlilies seem to be later/fewer this year, so perhaps yours will bloom soon too. Think it is because of the cooler weather of late.
