Kilmarnock Weeping Willow question

    A properly pruned tree doesnt look pruned (aside from polarding or coppice).

    Oh well, that`s ******ed that one then. Mine always looks pruned-at least after I`ve pruned it, but they recover very well indeed and very quickly.

    I asked for pruning advice about this one of mine and just left it alone. It looks much too heavy when it's in full leaf and not very nice but now they're gone the shape and form is so good.

    It does look very heavy-can`t you raise the canopy of it a little?

    Claire I haven't a clue what to do with her:cnfs:...The branches are almost as big as the trunk and I'm forever heeling it to stop wind rock.

    Pal, I`ll post a pic as to what I`ve done with mine just recently tomorrow. It isn`t pretty-yet, but it will be next year.

    I was told not to prune until after the catkins turned up, but ( sorry to whoever it was who advised me), I bit the bullet and pruned it.

    Quercus-bite harder, I heard you that time. LOL

    I`m afraid I also twisted the branches a bit more than is natural.

    I've asked my nephew to have a look,he's a member of GC and very clued up.
