For all you spider lovers (ok just me then!) Wasp spiders, our most colourful and just showing themselves now. The will get larger by September. Only found in rough uncultivated areas here but abroad found in gardens like (I think in @noisette47's garden).

Yes, plentiful here, Strongy, as are most vicious yellow and black biting/stinging things! Would you like me to send them over?;-) :-)

Well if ever you feel the need for more, just plant Ampelopsis brevipedunculata var. maximowiczii 'Elegans' :phew:  I have never seen so many wasps, european and asian hornets all on one plant. It's got to go.......

The non camouflaged crab spider's patience paid of grabbing a small white butterfly on the Buddleia.

Bot of a kerfuffle today when I knocked a Geranium sanguineum out of it's pot to plant it....the most enormous toad had insinuated itself into the pot, under the plant. No wonder the geranium wasn't doing too well :-) Everyone lives happily ever after....the toad is living under a Bergenia now :-)

These last few years, with the change in the weather, our garden has been much too dry for frogs and toads. The few neighbours that had ponds have removed them because of the constant need for refilling and aerating :dunno:.

A nervous Red Squirrel appeared in my garden this morning, only the second one I've seen in the three years living here. A quick investigation underneath the bird feeding station and it was gone having spotted me.

Another trip to Portland Bill as Mrs Strongy wanted to go there for her Birthday meal.
It made her day extra special as the local Grey Seal (Ron:biggrin:) showed itself infront of us about 50 yards away for half an hour or so, something we always look for but hadn't seen on four previous visits.
