I think animals know you have a soft spot Hydrogardener. :) It's horrible knowing they are sick or injured and not being able to help them.

The Grey Seal was showing itself (only just) at Portland Bill, mainly just it's nose.

I was finally able to get a glimpse of Rosie and she looks MAGNIFICENT. She has been avoiding my property as she apparently does not like the competition from the raccoons, skunks and possums. As the cold weather arrives the competition should taper off and I will be able to get a few more boosters into her. That said, it is heartwarming to see her return from death's door.

Yes, she looks very well and her coat looks as if it's thickening up ready for winter. Good to see. :)

I watch these two juvenile animals on my live video at night and they get along very well. At times they stand side by side, shoulders touching while they have their snack. No pushing, shoving, fighting, just share and share alike. People should take note. Oh, we call them Shadow and Stinky, why should be obvious.

I watched a programme recently where various animals had odd "partners" / friends. It was very uplifting.

Yesterday I sat on my patio with a coffee and watched a spider make a web. It had it hanging from two clothes pegs I'd left on the line, and attached to a chair and a flower pot under the line. I don't know how it did that. It weaved an intricate web going round and round for ages and then sat in the middle of the web waiting for its prey.
Later on I was watering some pots and forgot the web was there and walked right into it and destroyed it completely ! :yikes::gaah: I felt terrible :frown:
but then I saw the spider weaving another web under the patio table ... it must have thought it would be safer there from bungling humans :dbgrtmb:

I watch the cats and the foxes together after dark.
The foxes usually give a cat a wide berth but if there is food involved they wait, one moment of loss of concentration from the cat and the fox is in there and gone, food and all.
Usually the cat cant quite work out what has happened and looks confused.

These little creatures are very busy now stocking their larders for winter. Chipmunk/ground squirrel.

Mangolitsa (wooly)pigs let loose on RSPB Arne reserve to help loosen and turn over soil as part of natural grazing, along with ponies. They are very friendly.

They must be enjoying the freedom. I don't think you would be that close if they were wild boar Strongy.

We have never seen so many Red Squirrels on Brownsea Island as we did today, over 20.
Most were stashing acorns and Beech mast but a couple sat still for a moment.
