I saw some Sika Deer in the forest today but didn't expect to see one, a young stag, in the front garden this evening, it must have walked along the road.

We found a Stag Beetle a few feet from the incoming tide on the shoreline at Brands bay in Poole Harbour this morning, How it got there I don't know but it was safely removed to a grassy area.

It's about 9pm and the hedgehog is out having some water by the feeding station.

I don't see foxes until 10pm, there's one that's really cheaky, sits and watches us.

This Possum has a face only a mother could love. It looks like it is planning an evil deed. ;)

I stuffed her marshmallow into a knothole to see if she could find it. It took all of five seconds, the nose knows. :yahoo:

Gertie sits on her patio for hours on end watching our back entrance so she can rush up to the door and beg for handouts when she sees us. So, to make her more comfortable, and protect her from the elements and birds of prey I put an awning over her patio.

"Sadly, we lost Simon. He showed up around the first day of spring and I took his photo and fed him, that was the last I saw of him. He had been with us for about ten years and their normal lifespan is three to six. We miss the two of them playing while we sit on the deck. We had a good time with Simon as he was part of our family. Our weather has been very cool and Gertie is in her September mode, hording seeds, so she is driving us nuts. Right now, the smoke from the forest fires in Canada is making outdoors uncomfortable."

:cry3::sad: RIP Simon. :imphrt: Poor Gertie being alone now. My mothers name was Gertrude.
