This is the photo I took of him and the very last time I saw him. His photo was published the very same day.

She has five Sheal. I learn a lot from watching the videos in the morning. A large male showed up while they were eating. One of the tiny ones attacked the male, soon all five attacked him and he backed off camera. I could hear a lot of squeaking and squealing. Then mom ran off camera to join the melee and there was a lot of commotion and squealing followed by mom and the babies coming back to eat minus the male. I am sure little dramas like this go on every night unseen. :yikes: I should also mention that one of them let go and I had skunk odor in our yard for a few hours. :sick0026:

Five, that's quite a handful. Even at that young age they seem to be defending their territory. Not having Skunks here I have no idea what the smell is like but I do know it's bad. :thud:

It looks like one of Rosie's youngsters got a little curious last night. The people next to me had a large chain link fence installed so she has been making herself scarce lately. This will inspire me to get a better photograph.

This tiny creature would fit comfortably in the palm of your hand, but it certainly has courage to spare! What it lacked in size, it made up for in attitude. I walked around it giving it a wide berth.

Yesterday, I was sitting by a pond in the woods watching seven Canada geese bathing and splashing water on themselves. I was hoping to catch one spreading its wings fully to get a great photo. They decided to come out of the pond and dry off and preen their feathers. One was apparently curious about me, it kept coming closer and closer. It came so close I could barely make my lens focus. This is the photo I took of the curious Canada Goose.

Shadow finally brought her babies out in public, four of them. They are quite lively and she will have her little hands full for sure.

I managed to get a better photo of Shadow's babies and I am amazed how big they are now, regular little butterballs. There were four, with one a lot smaller than the others, now I am only seeing three. Hopefully the little one is still with them. :please:
