Lap Top Battery

    It used to be true that rechargeable batteries had a memory, but since the change to NIMH this has not been the case. Laptop batteries are for intermittent occasional use not for prolonged usage. You will not cause a problem with continued usage on the mains supply, in fact, I used to use a toshiba laptop plugged in without the battery (Ni-Cad). It was obsolete when I bought it (Windows v3.1), I later sold it to a friend who still uses it. I have dozens of NIMH batteries which are charged at any state of discharge without any problem.
