My god you lot put me to shame!

A chap I'm doing some work with me mentioned his early morning swim (in the sea) a month or so back. I assumed he was joking until he mentioned it at a subsequent meeting. Apparently he doesn't swim in January and February because the sea is too cold (my view would be that its too cold for 8 of the remaining months too!)

which I think is the answer I'm looking for. That's a La Crosse and prices are around £40 - £50 for the main unit and £14 for each additional sensor.

I'll take a look at Oregon Scientific thanks. (I've looked at these before and baulked at the price, but I was looking for all-singing-and-dancing weather stations, hadn't thought about just recording temperature
