We may be in recession, Dai, and the BBC may be suffering the biggest cut backs in living memory. but it doesn't stop us from having a Wish List, which should have been filled a long time ago. Ever since the day that Geoff Hamilton died Gardeners World started to slide down hill. Alan Titchmarsh managed to fill a gap for a while but to be honest he's more of a TV personality now than a gardener. I agree with Ganzania's post wholeheartedly, man after my own heart.:D

:) Gardeners World in my opinion is a national treasure,it brings to us all maner of gardening and personnel,it is forever evolving and no they can't please everybody, but it is about OUR HOBBY there is very little else.
So lets embrace it.........I don't think I have ever missed it,I even record when on holiday :)

Mr Kandy and myself have watched every single programme since we got married {1980}and I don't think there has been one single episode that we have missed and have a great deal of them on video and like Roders have recorded the programmes even when we are away on holiday.:D

We started our gardening life with the Great Geoff Hamilton, then listened to Geoffrey Smith on the radio inbetween. When Alan took over the reins didn't like him to begin with but with age and a bit of mellowing on our part started to warm to him and in the end thought he was a great presenter.:thumbsup:We also like Rachel De Tayme and Chris Beardshaw and even thought Toby good but there are a few presenters who I wouldn't miss if they were never on our screens ever again but it wouldn't do if we were all the same:heehee:

We do still sit and watch it each week to see what Monty has in store for us and I expect we will still be sitting in our armchairs when our sight and hearing are not up to scratch as usally apart from Ray Mears and Spring/Autumn Watch there isn't much else to watch on a Friday evening:D

I didn't want to become the Jurrasic Coast or the Chilterns.

Any chance that it also wiped out all the box hedging? Please say yes.
