MrH spent more than 30 years working for an IT company and now volunteers helping (mostly) senior citizens to get to grips with PCs and tablets. He is often asked to help when someone has inadvertently got some sort of malware on their computer. While he welcomes the occasional bottle of wine he receives for sorting out someone's problems, he always advises that if you have any doubt about the source of a download then don't download it.

While you are correct that we are constantly downloading things whenever we are connected to the Internet, most of what we are downloading is data. Viruses are caused by downloading executables, eg programs or macros hidden inside Word documents or PowerPoint presentations or those sneaky little toolbars you are invited to install in your web browser.

So, while there is no problem with viewing photos uploaded to this forum, there is a potential problem with downloading a PowerPoint presentation which might contain some malware. Your reassurances that your site and downloads have been used by many people with no problems is not sufficient I'm afraid as, for all we know, you might be a blank-eyed teenager in Obscuristan seeking world domination via the Gardeners Corner forum rather than a benign, daffodil-loving gardener.

Actually the Council seem to have decided without notifying us they will empty the garden bin the week the general rubbish is collect, instead of when the Recycled bins are collected as before. But my gardener could not wait so he collects it and takes it home. By the time he jumps in the bin to press it down it is very heavy too for me t

 

You should all asking yourself if I was attempting to cause mischief in this forum, then unlike your IT experts here, why am I the only one warning you all to make sure you have a fully paid up reputable anti-virus software liker AVG installed. That is instead of some cheap or free software probably incapable of detecting most malware, and instead issues vague warnings there could be problems.
For example these two are NOT my photos, they originally came from a US site some 5 years ago, now on my site today. What a pity you cannot see all 31 of these lovely cactus. I wonder if you will have the courage to display all this.

So how can we resolve this problem if I must not quote the link to the lovely presentations and I do not want to clutter up valuable space here posting too many photos?

 

I found a way of showing them all with a screen dump ( ALT + PrtSc)
