      .....And while we're on the subject of cars. Why do a lot of people with drives attached to their property never park their cars on them but leave them outside to block the road? Also, it winds me up to see cars parked on the footpath and particularly grass verges. :mad:

          A couple of years ago, during the winter I complianed to the council about people being allowed to park on grass verges and turning them into what resembles ploughed fields, there are signs saying damage to the grass is an offence.
          The reply I got was that if people didn't park there they would leave their cars on the road, thereby cluttering up the roads and causing traffic congestion.

          The thing is that all houses around here have driveways or the space to create a driveway, but they wont use them, too lazy.

            Watched a program about some travellers that bought a greenbelt field and started to develop it without planning permission.

            When the residents complained they were deliberately churning up their grass verges. Occured to me that a few well placed forks would have stopped that malarky [IMG]

              Here's another of my moans, people that leave their rubbish in supermarket trollies when returning them to the trolley park.
              Where I go at Morrisons we still have to put a £ coin in the slot to get a trolley.
              So you cant just pull the one full of litter out and take the next one.
              Tonight I had a choice of one with a load of orange skin in it, or a couple of others with shopping lists or dirty tissues.
              Till receipts, half eaten food, sweet wrappers even drink bottles sometimes.

                  @pete

                  has something in common with my earlier post about littering, it all comes down to attitude, as alluded to by Jiffy.
