Well, instead of the thread moving down the forum in posting order, it will "Stick" at the top of the page along with what ever else has been made into a sticky, GA. We usually apply it to subjects and threads that we think will intrigue and interest members and will generate a lot of posts. Go to any forum page and you will see at the top a separate group of Stickies. Saves people time when looking for it!

Thus, having a sticky "moan" thread should intrigue, interest and generate more posts.

Or, having a sticky "Spruce" thread will intrigue, interest and generate ... more Spruce posts :heehee:

I agree, and would make third party insurance compulsory too - I have seen cyclists break wing mirrors on cars as they pass and clout them with a handlebar (or a foot if they are in a strop), and even this that would seem to be a relatively small amount of damage can cost a horrendous amount to fix on a modern car.

Not only that, but if I have an accident in my car, the costs from the ambulance etc are charged to my insurer (or the responsible parties insurer), whereas an accident caused by or only involving a cyclist has no such recourse for the services - not fair, and not right.

Most cyclist I see totally ignore red lights.
They either cross when the road is clear, but lights still red.
Or go up onto the pavement and become a two wheeled pedestrian.

Talk about wanting the best of both worlds.

                  Here I go again ...

                  its 3 moans today:

                  1. I was driving to the garden centre , the road narrows into one lane and I was on the right hand side a car and half in front of the one next to me in the inside lane , so I carried on driving and the car on the inside tried to overtake me but taking into account the road had already started to narrow in one lane I woudnt slow down and I just carried on , so I had multiple horns and flashing light from the other car , now if I was wrong tell me , but it does get worse as I did slow the car down as she was getting right up my nose so she shot her car nearly into the back of mine , but I didnt react , the best part is the woman must of been late 60's !! why do I think age brings wisdom it didnt in this case
                  2. Finally got to the Garden Centre that stocks a small selection of venus fly traps etc I asked about compost for my Sarrencina they told me I could use pot plant compost as they dont stock carnivorous compost and it would be fine , I told the "compost expert" that the manger of the centre went and got hold of especially to speak to me as he just didn't realise what I was talking about either .
Told him that is the wrong information as that type of compost would kill my plant looked at my like I was crazy .

                  3. Bought two packets of Chocolate Digestive biscuits Mc vitie's (other brands also available) and they dont look right or taste right , I have now found out they have changed the recipe after all these years .

                  Moan over .....

Pedestrians - so SLOW aren't they? Even when I'm also a pedestrian! Amble, amble, dawdle, dawdle, mince, mince. I cut people up far worse on the pavement than I ever do on the road.

Pavement - the only sane place for a cyclist to be, IMO. If they keep mad motorists off the "cycle lanes" I'll happily use them.

Hang on, what considerate motorist goes within kicking/hitting/breaking distance of a cyclist on the road? When you've had buses brush your elbows as they lumber past your fragile body then perhaps you'd think a bit of a strop was in order. I can't condone actual criminal damage, however. Mostly.
