Mum's Moan of the Day ​

Took Ozzy to school this morning. Got there nice and early (for the free coffee ). Parked neatly in a bay - coz I good girl, innit!

School went well, Ozzy did as he was told for 98% of the time, despite the falling snow and wind so chilly it felt almost arctic! Had an "after's" coffee and mingle; like you do.

Finally went to put Oz back in the car and some numpty turnip had parked his van in front of my car and the one to my left. Ok, not a problem, I'll ask for it to be moved. Left Ozzy in the car.

First, made inquiries amongst the dog class people. Nope, not they!
Next, venture over to the football pitches and brave asking along the sidelines if the knew of a "Roofer, DC".

First pitch: no joy, but very polite young men and helpful; second pitch ...
I met 'Oaf':
Mum: "Excuse me, do you have a player called, DC? He's a roofer."
"Yeah: but, h.e.'s p.l.a.y.i.n.g f.o.o.t.b.a.l.l.!!?"
(Yum, patronsing!! At least he didn't add a "duh!" All players were stationary, waiting for something footbally to happen at the centre of the field )
Mum: "Er, not any more he's not " (car keys in prominant position, in hand)
Oaf: "Well, you'll have to wait!"
"No: your *match* will have to wait!"
Oaf: "WTF!!??" (abbreviated for the sake of the profanity filter)
Oh dear, he clearly didn't think before he said that
(Enter stage right; perceptive, polite, referee)
"Can I help?"
"I hope so: 'Roofer, DC' has blocked my car in and I need it moved, please"
(Enter, at a slow pace, 'Roofer, DC')
"Didn't I leave you enough room?"- implies - oh dear, women drivers, eh?)

He knew darn well he'd blocked two vehicles in

What is it with Sunday footie players that they think they can
a) park where they please;
b) obstruct two other vehicles in the process;
c) swear at me (as if it adds any weight to their argument!)
and
d) LIE about it!!

As for Oaf, Roofer DC told him to get the car keys and move it for him
