'M' - just so you know....I usually avoid this thread for obvious reasons. Today I felt like posting my thoughts on it - so kill me now!

I feel you are judging me without knowing virtually anything about me. For your info, helping others is what I do best so, of course I see that negativity can be beneficial. I was merely pointing out that negativity far outweighs positivity e.g. reflected in our society. It is one thing to have a moan but it seems to be the norm; it can so easily become a habit/the prevalent mindset so I am just doing my bit to bring awareness to that.

By the way, I have a positive mindset instilled in me for over 30 years now (due to a transformation...but that's another story)!

Did I say anything about taking away choice? Huh?? I just offered my view...something I am allowed to do here, yes?

Yet, if you read through this whole thread (by the way, have you? ) you may find that responses/postings here are not the result of a prevalent mind-set of negativity, merely an amalgamation of a number of different members making posts in reference to particular frustrations, irritations and, in some cases injustices, with which they wish to vent.

What is wrong with that? It neither suggests a "habit" nor any "prevalent mind-set".
It is merely a reflection of how they are feeling: frustrated, maybe angered, perhaps thwarted, possibly at the end of their tether with life's vicissitudes, maybe unaware that there is a simple recourse for their perceived issues (or not!), in that particular moment of time? In which case, there may well be a kindly, empathetic, knowledgeable response to their post which may make the difference between their perceived postings of frustration/anguish and a positive response to it! How can that be a negative thing?

I do not think I stated you had taken away anyone's choice and of course you are entitled to offer your view. I think what I said was, *you* have a choice whether you read this thread or not. If it does upset/offend you, you may choose *not* to read it, should you wish.
Yes, of course you have the right to express your view - ultimately, that is what a forum is for - it does not mean though that just because you have expressed it, people should automatically agree with it Nor does it mean that if people do not agree with it, that it is personal

We are at liberty to agree to disagree: on this issue, I believe you and I have reached a point where we agree to disagree
