Yep, a man thing. Just did not want to always pull the gender card, its an excuse that is used too often.
But going in his wallet to get the $10.00 he owes me for winning the bet. Little does he know he lost.

Some men take longer to understand what "happy wife, happy life" means. My husband whippersnipped a whole row of beautiful snapdragons one time. He decided to be more careful after I had a similar accident and cut the crotch out of his jeans and said oops from me too. Your $10 payoff will hopefully remind him what not to do next time!

I think I can quite easily claim that I'm a model of a perfect husband, but I think I should ask Mrs Shiney first!

HOLY .... Sorry for the rant/language in advance, I'm livid.

Been called a stupid t××t and everything else by nasty neighbour, his Mrs and her mother in front of their 5 spawn and my 2.. Washed the patio and was "flooding their garden on purpose" (I'm higher up than them and there's no where for the water to run off except where Mr cokehead put his shoddy pallet fence (we did offer to build the wall right across)) So I said "If I wanted to do something on purpose I'd squirt you in the face" and so I did. Much to his delight and I said the council will be happy with the language and threats (we have had a log since 2011). He then started ranting about how he has nearly bought his house off the council. .my reply what money, drug money? (Hes been out of work for months, mrs doesn't work and has 3 kids elsewhere, had his brother's car off him a few months ago and bought a 12 ft pool, gazebo, tent, tiki bar for the garden, shiite ornaments and they even made a veg patch to try and keep up with me). They then called me a stoner and said it's money they don't buy weed with :lunapic 130165696578242 5: He said "you best look out when this is my house", I said "When? When your dead?" Other stuff was said..he was ripping his fence down tomorrow and I should put a wall there as I'm higher up.. I mentioned it was sh!t, they even attempted to take it down there and then..all the while I carried on washing my patio, didn't get to finish the bit by the fence I couldn't deal with the abuse much more.. so eldest goes in from noise.. think she got bit of anxiety from them, I know I did, little one wanted to stay out so we went round the front.. police officer walks round the street corner about an hour later (little did next door know I heard them saying "daddy's phoning the police.. kids calm down now.") So went straight onto him explained the situation and he did tell me I could be done for assault for throwing water! Om :nonofinger: Naughty Linny. Anyways officer could see I was anxious and I told him I wouldn't be out in the garden for the next few days after this. .. lil white lie, I will go out I'm much better than a few months ago and not letting them win, well they have as we're waiting to move.. but they don't know that. Sorry rant over.

@Linz I can certainly sympathise with you. We have people living next door that the rest of the neighbours call Jethro and EllieMae- behind their backs. They also got threatening one day and I told them to p up a rope!

                  @Linz :grphg: :grphg: :grphg:

Yes, you *could* ... but ...

... you weren't ;) So, in my opinion, treat that as an eye-opener on the law and ... move on! (Literally, preferably, but, if not then as a "heads up" of what you may and may not do/get away with ;) )

In situations such as this, I can hear my mother drumming it into me mentioning: Be like Caesar's Wife: Beyond Reproach! In other words, when you are keeping a log in a neighbour dispute situation, never allow yourself to be provoked into lowering yourself to *their* level ;) Your key advantage will always be: dignity ;) What's that other saying? Oh yes: you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar ;)

Totally understand your frustration/wits end/provocation - truly I do!! But, I also know that the very best way is not to retaliate, but to ... outwit ;)

So, so sorry to hear what you are having to endure with your neighbour :grphg: How long until moving day?

Yes it was a bit of a shock when the officer said that, he could see they had worked me up when I was just going about my business though and he has also noted I'm a PPE  not sure what that stands for, something along the lines of causing distress. This is the 3rd time police have been round this year for bull :( I actually told the council to close the log in april as we were moving.. the house isn't finished, we're just waiting on the water to be connected and parking to be laid :gaah:

No idea either!! In which case, it is meaningless ... I would suggest you ask for clarification! *HE* may well know what it means, but, to bamboozle you with jargon is very unprofessional. Ask what it means (in writing, if needs be). He shouldn't be speaking to you in terms you do not understand :nonofinger:

I was quite worked up when he was explaining, he did take down my number just "in case" I'm not sure if there's a follow up as he went to their house as well, he said he'd just put it as I was washing my patio. My other half was just walking through the door from work as the officer left, he's a lot calmer than me, officer explained it to him and my oh even offered to clean it up.. even though there was no mess.. hate him coming home to stuff like this

@"M" is right about keeping your cool. Sticks and stones. The last time Jethro spoke to me, he called me a "Cunning runt", only missing all but the first one and last three letters. I sweetly informed him that I was not an ordinary little "C" but the Queen of the "C's" and he'd best remember that!

Practice your one liners and lsave on a winning note :)

All the more reason to ask for clarity. Did he give you *his* number? Because you are also entitled to know it so *you* have a point of reference ;) Call the station and ask the questions you were "too worked up" to ask as the time  Most especially what a PPE is! :dunno:

No I didn't get his number, been told in the past to ring 101 but it's different officers all the time. It's pretty hard to keep calm I just want out of here now

You should be able to ring 101 not to speak to the officer, but there will have a log and then they can get the officers dealing with the case to give you a ring or visit or they may give you his email
