      IMG_0553.JPG IMG_0554.JPG I can't really moan about our dinner tonight:snorky:

After dry frying the minced beef and draining off the excess fat I then put the mince into the casserole dish, and then added beef gravy, chopped fresh onion, mushrooms and cooked carrots.Part cooked that lot last evening and then today boiled up the spuds until they were soft, mashed them up then added them to the other stuff then used a fork to make the crinkle bits on the top.Cooked in oven until the spuds were browned then cooked us a few baked beans to go with it,oh and also had a nice glass of :Wino:to go with it.:snorky: PS,had a small bit of trifle for afters.(burp:snorky:)

Good morning @Kandy my friend looks very tasty ,I wish I could eat something like that but I would have to say no to the beans and substitute cauliflower for the mash;):blue thumb:

IMG_0555.JPG Good morning @wiseowl as a type2, you don't have to be that strict with the carbs unless your numbers are sky high which I don't think yours are? A lot of people go on strict low carb diets to bring their numbers down because if they didn't the numbers would stay dangerously high and that can cause problems:sad:

I have only just gone back on to eating some spuds after not having any for over three weeks or so,same as milk, bread, salt and cereals.Often you can mix medium GI foods with low GI foods and they can help each other out in keeping the glucose numbers stable.

Also I often buy the low sugar/salt versions of baked beans which are also a good source of fibre but can give you bad wind/fart problems:snorky:

New potatoes are also better for you than old potatoes as the GI rating should be lower:smile:

Practically every day I am walking between 3-5miles which is an achievement considering my Arthritis problems plus a dislocated toe.My step count each day is usually over the 12,500 steps I have set on my phone and if I have the energy I also use my trampet for a quick session when the adverts are on:snorky:

Diet Betes isn't a life sentence just carry on as normal and as long as you are exercising every day and not consuming many pints of sugary beer every day you should be fine:smile:

This is not a lecture just my thoughts on the subject and by the way I have lost 4lb in weight since the start of the year which for me is a minor miracle:snorky:

PS,I have just got back from another long walk so need to go and rest my weary feet now:snorky:

My car has these....I didn't realise until after I bought it.
I must admit I was not convinced they would work properly, but they do.
                      Suitably impressed. :dbgrtmb:

If the windscreen is dirty and covers the sensor they don't dip, but in the mannal it does say that it does not releeve you of your reponsibiltys :)

They don't work for bi-cycles, walkers and horse riders

happening for years.---why can't husband be aware of placing things in areas that are in the way of normal walking area? Last night for example, I come in the "dark" garage from the outside, know my way to the door (that is ok) but he leaves a long item sticky out 3 inches beyond the shelf that is there, of course my shoulder hits it and it falls to the ground. Like can't you think.

another example, him leaving the saw with the teeth sticking out toward the area people walk in, like move it way away to the side.
