      Nice kitchen!

We benefit from a decent sized 90ft garden. We're on the inside of a "U" shaped crescent estate, built in the mid sixties, that has two exits onto the main road. So the house behind us, on one of the "straight bits" as do others, have equally sized gardens, the whole area is a haven for wildlife. There's no way that a developer these days would waste so much land.

It's different with insurers. They share information.
An insurer that you've never used before will have access to your accident history and any points you've previously declared on your licence.

It's like the L.O.A. Registry with life insurance. Apply for a policy and the insurer will be able to check whether you've been refused insurance or been charged a higher premium, by any company.

Tyre replacement companies are more a bit "fly by the seat of their pants."

Well you know the ins and outs of it @Doghouse Riley and my hubby and anyone who drives, that was roughly in my opinion of what they would do but like you say tyre firms are more likely to do it :)

Hi @martin-f told my hubby about your insurance last night mate and he's with Hastings also and he said because it's a renewal they never drop it hardly..he said he goes on supermarket.com puts in the car details and you usually get the first 3 low ones come up, then go back to hasting to see if they can match them.:)

@martin-f , sorry Martin missed your post . Only thing I can suggest is try the big 3 comparison sites - Go Compare - Compare the Market - Confused.com
When you get the quote go onto the companies site and repeat your details . It may be a little better . Make sure you declare any speeding fines etc , these do add to the cost . But its a mugs game not to complete a full declaration.
I found that once I got past 55 insurance came cheaper as they think you are incapable of getting into 4th gear . Now I am retired and not using it too commute it came down £15 , we booked a cruise with that in June :snorky:

PS : I never opt for no claims bonus protection or the legal protection option ( you can get the latter cheaper on line if you want it ) Always try to go for £0 claim excess , normally this does not effect the policy price.
