No, I haven't had any experience. It can depend on what the Memorandum and Articles of Association say and on what grounds you think you may have reason to do so. I would imagine the simplest way would be for a vote by the shareholders at an EGM called for that purpose. For instance, if it's mental incapacity it would be done in a different way from that of fraud. You need legal advice. You can usually get a cheapish half hour with a solicitor to explore the possibilities.
