LATEST MOAN FROM YOU AND ME 2020

I've only just learnt that the Post Office has stopped Saturday deliveries, pleading the Corona Virus as the reason for the National decision........I wonder how long it will take for them to consider to restart a 6 day delivery

 

When I was a lad.... We used to have three deliveries a day.

 

I bet that kept the Midwife busy, shiney

 

We've had eight micro power cuts in the last five days! They're only micro (my terminology) as the power goes for less than a second. Lights flicker, TV goes off and comes on again, computer reboots itself and then starts moaning that the router isn't working, the router takes up to 10 minutes to get going again and the phones go down ask me to confirm that there has been a power cut. It has kicked me out of two Zoom meetings and ruined an online bridge game

I shall have a polite conversation with UK Power Networks.

 

We still have our one delivery per day - apart from Sunday.

 

Good evening we still have two deliveries a day but the second delivery is the same postman returning to deliver the first letters he missed and to correct all the wrong deliveries he made on the first delivery

 

I suppose we're lucky being in a village environment with our postman also living in the village. He knows all the residents so he has never made a mistake with the deliveries.
