@alana It's always easier for them fob you off on the phone. That's why they don't give you an email address on their website. If you don't wish to contact them through social media (I don't) then here's the email address of their CEO and will get you a response. :blue thumb:

Might be wrong but the way I see it is, if I went into the store and bought them the chances are they would all have the same date or there abouts.
I do it all the time and if I'm not going to use them within a couple of days put them in the freezer.

In theory, the further back on the shelf the longer the use by date should be - if they do their stock rotation properly. The use by date should normally give more than two days unless they were trying to offload short-dated stuff. So it's worth complaining to them.

Having said that, I still freeze my order if I'm not using it soon. :noidea:

I don't think meat or fish will have a use by date longer than 2 days.
I might be wrong as I rarely look at them and use my own judgement.

As to stock having a longer use by date further back on the shelves.
It might start out that way but customers drag it all out looking for the longer dates, it must be a nightmare trying to keep control over that.

I contacted them @shiney!! Unless it's changed now ,but somewhere on my Dad online account there was a link to say if you had any compaints....they replied really quickly.:dbgrtmb:
In my Dad's case it was multi packs of yoghurt and his Anchor butter. I just said as he lived alone and was very frail did he really have to eat all his yoghurts the very next day or should he chance unsettling his now delicate digestion by consuming them in a few days time and the same for his butter which would normally last him a month ,or even longer. They apologised and added vouchers to the value of the goods.
No complaints from us as they responded quickly and positively.
Perhaps things have lapsed due to the extra pressures of Covid.:dunno:

Lots of tractors in and out (single track road) 3 farm down here and farmers that also rent fields, so lots of tractors in and out to make they hay before it rains end of week, so far 16 tractors trying to use 1 single track road and some don't think that there just may be an other tractor coming the other way, hope they do find out  it may be a big bang

                      Oh yes I see.
We had a very similar experience last week. We live down a narrow ,dead ended lane with a farm at the end.
We had huge combine harvesters, hay balers and tractors back and forth and as our lane/woods /lakes have now become a popular walking area since Covid, I was scared that there would be an accident ...we even get little kiddies on their bikes and scooters:yikes:. Hubs had to go out later and lop the broken branches from the overhanging trees and sweep up the carnage left behind in the lane.!!

Your lucky, I could put up with a few tractors at certain times of the year.
Around here it's mostly cars speeding up and down the road and swerving around abandoned cars, (parked), in stupid places.
