That was/is another Samsung scam! Unless you pay a fortune for a genuine Samsung replacement battery, it's a gamble on cheaper Chinese imitations, which IME are worse than the original they're replacing. All this obligatory consumerism is (perhaps) fine and dandy if you're earning, getting pay rises etc. But for folks on a fixed income or, worse, a State pension, it's not funny. It would be marvellous if just for once a Government (any government) did put a stop to the racketeering

My last phone the battery wouldn't charge, so i got a new phone but lost all my pictures that i had of the boys, didn't save them anywhere.
But the phone was about 5 years old which is good for a mobile so I've been told.

 

So easy to save online!

Plus I use a free app to backup all my text messages so I dont lose those when changing phones. They are as important as emails.

 

Thanks but i couldn't access anything on my old phone to get at them, on my new one i can save them to cloud.

 

I have a memory card in my phone. And I chose that as the location to save pictures. Updating sometimes loses my contacts but does not access my memory card. Those cards are cheap and worth buying as you can simply move it to a new phone tne same as you would with your sim.

 

I clean out my tablets on a daily basis and a monthly one . Memory space gets easily swallowed up with all the things I use it for....everything!!!!!. I make sure all tabs are closed ,history deleted, emails sorted into their appropriate files..the rest deleted as they are read/ actioned. Photos..( 100s) are looked over with a critical eye and deleted...hubs would disagree with how good my critical eye skills are!!!!? I have two tablets and one has a memory card added to store all my chosen pics.

Once a month I clear the cache.....not really necessary so often but it's a cleaning out habbit that I've got into and it definitely keeps things running and unlocks space and memory.
Perhaps I should delete the cache in my head!!!

 

Yes I've got one or the other in my new phone. The thing is i have to have duplicate apps for somethings and can't get rid of them because have to have them, if that makes any sense. Have to have 2 clocks, 2 calendars, 2 utube and 2 contacts hubby says have to have them.

I think that it's because it's a Samsung phone and they say got to have the Samsung version as well.

 

Yes i always clear the tabs and any pics that i don't need, i sometimes keep the ones of the boys. I don't keep a lot of text messages and emails.

 

I was thinking of getting a memory card for my phone, I think it will take one, just can't work out where you poke it.
If you get my meaning.
