Or staff not wanting to be threatened and attacked. They won't even pull customers up for having an excessive number of items at 'express' checkouts.

Even car park staff from edge of town centre shops admitted to being afraid to deal with drivers parking there, then walking into town when it gets busy. One of them said "Xmas is a very violent time".

Broken roof tiles! Had a recollection I had noticed these and after the recent rain I popped in the loft to check; sure enough there's a puddle (a few actually). They're currently patched using among other things a crisp packet and the plastic front of a cake box...

Actually no. It's an old house and they just didn't bother! The new bit (extension) is a marvel of modern roofing, the old bit is a crumbly mess lol

If you will be replacing it, @Loofah, I'd highly recommend the 'multilayer' aluminium/fleece type underlay (assuming you can get it there). It provides terrific insulation as well as waterproofing under tiles.

Thanks; it will all be replaced when we do the next stage of building. The tiles are totally knackered so new roof which will incorporate some dormers too. Just don't know when!

Does anyone know how to stop duvet covers from rolling themselves into a ball in the tumble dryer? I'm fed up with a creased damp mess in the middle of it! :frown:

It looks now that most football grounds will now been closed for spectators. Fulham's Craven Cottage ground has the capacity of around 24,700. 2,000 were aloud in for the last game, the enclosed pic shows that the 2,000 were housed in one stand.

Why weren't they spread out among the 4 stands. Total madness IMO. _cravencottage.jpg

People who have enormous wealth seem to lose all sense of reality. In the end you can only buy so many things.

Chuck Feeney, he's got it right. Not many people heard of him - he was a billionaire and gave the lot away - it took him 38 years but he got there. That's what it's all about - helping others.

The purpose of life is not to accumulate as much wealth as possible before you pass on.
