Don't get me going on taking the knee, the amount of black players in the England team says it all regarding being anti racist, we don't need silly gestures.
I try not to listen to the commentators that much as most, especially when it comes to tactics and what they all should be doing, seem to have all the answers.

I have actually got some of those buried deep in the freezer.
Never used them, it always worried me they might leak and who knows what the liquid is inside them.
Probably sewage water from the back streets of Hong Kong .

We've decided to add another garden arch over the side gate. A couple of years ago I could afford to purchase a pre made arch and just bolt it on. Last year the price of a pre made arch rocketed as everyone was staying at home and doing up their properties - so I decided to purchase the timber and make an arch. This year pre made arch prices are still high and on top of this, timber prices have rocketed. I'm going to dismantle one of the arches down the allotment and bring it back here - things will settle down again when furlough ends.

On another matter - saw in the media that schools appear to be ignoring black authors when it comes to the literature syllabus. No one talking about the lack of LGBT authors - what's going on - that's transphobic isn't it?

Reminds me of when there were discussions around only LGBT actors playing LGBT roles - which soon fizzled out when someone said - does that mean that only straight people can play straight roles?

That Channel 5 programme where Anne Boleyn was portrayed by a black actress - a brainiac had to point out for historical accuracy that Anne Boleyn was white.

A transgender weight lifter competing in the Tokyo Olympics.

I've said it before - equality works both ways - but sometimes I wonder if we are going too far.

I feel much better now I've got that off my chest .

"our lawn mower has a 650W high-power pure copper brushless motor with a no-load speed of 18000 rpm :yikes: , which can meet all your daily lawn mowing and mowing needs."

Cor, that's 300 revolutions a second (the speed that a neutron star rotates), if not adequately lubricated it will burst into flames!

(My top end Honda 4 stroke brushcutter is only 7,000 rpm)

A circular saw blade on a pole.
Sounds like fun if it hits something hard.
But it is only a "micky mouse" thing really.

Don't think much of our Parish Council's programming skills.

Last Thursday the lines were marked out on the village football pitch and on Friday they cut the grass, and so as not to mow out the line marking done the day before they cut the entire pitch with a small ride on mower, carefully cutting up to the edge of the lines on each side.

Today the lines were being re-marked over the white ridges and tomorrow the grass cutter will be spending the day carefully cutting around the lines again.

They do stuff like that here @Scrungee ! On an even bigger scale. Put in a kerb and side walk at the corners of intersections. Then 6 months later, rip it all out to move the traffic signals!

What sort of people do this - embarrassing the entire Country and making the UK look like a bunch of idiots:

Uefa has charged England after a laser pointer was directed at Denmark keeper Kasper Schmeichel during Wednesday's Euro 2020 semi-final at Wembley. Television pictures showed a green light on Schmeichel's face just before Harry Kane took an extra-time penalty.

England are also charged with causing a "disturbance" during Denmark's national anthem and setting off fireworks.

There was some booing heard during the Danish national anthem and that has been criticised by Prime Minister Boris Johnson's official spokesman.

You were lucky it lasted that long.

The line marking from this morning, probably for a match at the weekend, lasted only an hour or so before the grass cutter mowed it all out.

I can remember when I was a kid they killed the grass first, always looked like creosote, then put the white lines on top.
They lasted all summer that way.
