This definitely is a good find! Might go for a different colour for each task and buy an organiser to keep them neatly arranged according to the task :heehee:

With 41% more Goo, what's not to love?

I am a tad worried about the reviews though, I mean, it's not very often I worry about the cleanliness of inside crevices or areas around the skirting boards... The Slime may change me into a person who goes around the house proudly dabbing the aforementioned inside crevices with my Slime and admiring the glowing corners

Just watching the antiques road show.

      Article described as mid Victorian.
This kind of thing has always been something I find odd, even slightly stupid.

Just give us a date, we don't all know what part of royalty was in charge when, and to other people in other countries it must seem even stranger.

Are we the only country that dates things in this weird way, apart from China which has ming, ding and ping Dynasties.;)

Victorian is quite easy even for a foreigner like me, but what gets me is the Elizabeths and Georges with the Latin numbers. The French are even worse, make a slight error with the XVIIIs and you end up half a millenium wrong.

Actually, in spite of everything, potentially Harry and Meghan were quite smart in naming their firstborn "Archie". ;)

Well as there was loads of Georges and now two Elizabethan eras it all gets complicated.

Just stick to dates a "turf over" the royals who might have been lording it at the time, I really cant see how they come into it, or even matter, I mean do styles change immediately one of them dies.

Won't be Archie the first though.
Next will be Charles III followed by William V then George VII.

They also randomly choose a different name when they are crowned, the last two Georges were christened Albert

This brings to my mind my old moan regarding the saints of Southern Italy. They had a fair few St Giovannis there so helpfully added definitions St Giovanni Under the Mountain, St Giovanni Of The Sheep, St Giovanni The Purple and so on.

Unfortunately the railway men didn't quite grasp the idea so when you take a train down south, most stations are called "St Giovanni u.t.m", "St Giovanni o.t.s" St Giovanni t.p" and one is left hastily browsing the map trying to match a saint to a town.

Not really a moan but some stupid pricing in Sainsbury's

                    Magnum Classic 55ml £3.96 for 6
                    Magnum Classic 110ml £3.00 for 6

If buying them, which would you buy? :roflol:

I think all supermarkets try that one @shiney, Tesco certainly does. There are those not as keen eyed as us and don't bother checking one against the other.

Latest moans, getting a bit of Olympics overload now, well have been for about 3 weeks now.;)

English footballers still messing around taking the Knee, stirring up fans in Hungary, as they knew it would do, a certain player, who after scoring a goal decides its a good idea to run to a corner of the crowd and goad them and then complain they threw things at him.

And just out of interest, just what did it say on the shirt he had underneath his proper one.

Two stories running side by side on the news today, old people should have to pay extra taxes to pay for their care as they have had it easy all their lives and never really paid towards care.
You should have to continue to pay National insurance after the age of 66 if you continue to work passed that date, bearing in mind some people still retire on full state pension after only 35 yrs contributions.

The other story was its going to cost billions to house and educate all the Afghans who want to come and live here.

When I retired you had to have been paying National Insurance for 44 years to get full state pension. :noidea:

Not sure I understand that. I've always paid my taxes and NIC. With the NIC I paid it twice as I also paid Employers Contribution as well as Employees Contribution. Having said that- I would be happy to contribute more now if I knew that the proper care was going to be given to people (a totally different problem).

A lot of care homes haven't been inspected throughout Covid. Even when they were inspecting regularly (usually only once a year) the things they were checking were not the right ones. I was involved in monitoring the inspectors in this area and most of them did a good job but their guidelines weren't what was really needed. I did a report to the County on it at the time and they said the government overruled them. Just for info:- it was Labour at the time. They were more interested in the care workers having a piece of paper (NVQ2 or 3) than if the people could actually do the job! So someone who was just out of college with their bit of paper could have a job but someone who had been doing the job for 30 years (before bits of paper were needed) couldn't get a job!

How's that for a good moan? :heehee: I feel better now
