You forgot to mention all the many months and months of roadworks whilst converting to 'smart' motorways, used to hack me off just taking and collecting our daughter from uni up north, but we could arrange our travelling times to avoid the massive tailbacks.

Amazon seems to have put all sorts of stuff in their "Arrives before Valentine's Day" category

Amazon is beginning drone deliveries. Now you can shoot skeet and get a prize too!

Appears as if Amazon have changed their mind about avertising everything from rope, rat poison, wasing up bowls, etc. as being suitable for Valentine's Day gifts, not even chocs and underwear have "Arrives before Valentine's Day".

Had to call Virgin Media this morning, I just could not understand what the person on the other end of the phone was saying, I caught about 10% of the conversation.

Disgusting for customer services to use foreign call centres .

That's why I love AI. I was just browsing Tesco groceries DIY section and checked their hammers and sanding papers (don't ask). The recommendation bar popped up to show "Usually bought next": screwdriver set and cat food.

                Makes you think. :cat-kittyandsmiley:

I'm not sure how to put this in a delicate way, but my all time favourite was in Morrisons groceries when, ah, a friend of mine was searching for a cosmetic product some females use to neutralise odours in certain areas of human anatomy not commonly found amongst the male population.

It was out of stock, the suggested alternative was tinned herrings.

Oh come on @pete.....you're just as likely to have a strongly-accented person (from all parts of the globe) working in a UK call centre. The worst call I ever gave up on was the DWP in Newcastle :roflol:

I use the local petrol station. Last year I got Mrs H a bunch of flowers and a litre of engine oil :heehee:

I am quite use to accents as my hubs still has a very strong one but one particular time I struggled was when talking to a Sky employee who had ( no offence intended at all as I love the accent) the strongest Scottish accent that I've ever heard! It didn't help matters that the line was a tad bad too.

Hubs couldn't make head nor tail of the conversation so handed the phone to me....trouble was I also couldn't make head nor tail of the technical issue he was complaining about either..so I got a double whammy!!!
