    Are public toilets still shut?
So I can go wandering off to S. Africa but I'm not allowed to have a pee?

I was looking online a while back and you can still buy broken biscuits.

There was a shop in the town I used to work, known locally as The Cheap Shop, and it sold them also.
I think they had a bloke out the back breaking them.;)

:scratch:Unbelievable!! On the news today they were talking about the forthcoming increase in our heating bills this winter...and this woman had a moan saying ' I've always said that if I have to wear a cardigan indoors then that not right!':yikes:

Is there something I'm missing here.. am I the only one who gradually layers up and adjusts their wardrobe to the change in temperatures!!

I couldn't wrap myself up with that lot @Upsydaisy but I do where fleeces. :) My feet are always cold this time of year no matter what's on them. Do you remember moon boots? They were the only things that ever kept my feet warm.

I got a really good fleecy blanket last year that I use to keep my legs warm (joggers and socks as well) and it was only about £20. Really warm thing it is too. Fletch tries to pinch it on a regular basis.
We've also had, for years, one of those two part duvets on our bed - one side is quite thin, the other medium-thick and then both together they add up to about 15 tog. Worst comes to worst, we retire upstairs to bed and put the TV on up there

I don't sit still long enough to wrap myself up FC. These pooches know where they're well off though, both of my son's dogs and my daughter's one often snuggle up with a blanket. :)

Loki - one of my son's two.

I've got one of those that's used when we have guests. I have two separate duvets that are different togs for my own bed, but the the lighter one only makes it onto the bed for about a fortnight each year.:biggrin:

I've got a pile of old blankets that are in the garage, I use them to cover plants during the frosty winter nights.
Amongst them is some folded up garden fleece.
The ginger cat that visits me always curls up for a good long sleep on the fleece rather than the blankets, my thinking is that the fleece material when folded in multiple layers has a better thermal value than the blankets, and the cat knows it.

I think if our houses were properly insulated to a much higher standard, she would have a good point.
I'm with Insulate Britain on this, but sitting in the middle of the road on cold tarmac is not something I will be doing.;)

Garden fleece is a bit like polystyrene and holds the heat. Cats aren't stupid are they Pete?

In cold weather, over the years at work, its always been noticeable how warm a piece of bubble wrap was to sit on during lunch break.

Tongue in cheek @Sheal ....our house isn't really that cold.:)
But in the depth of winter I do like to snuggle up in the evening with my lovely blanket.
