Just to point out that P&O Ferries have nothing to do with P&O Cruises. P&O were sold off to the American company Carnival around 20 years ago (I worked for P&O 60 years ago :old: :heehee:) and then Carnival sold the Ferry side of the business to the Arabs (it has shuttled backwards and forwards between Dubai and UAE as owners) about 15 years ago. They also own their terminals in Southampton and London :rolleyespink:

    It's pretty complicated!

They will also have taken into account the cost of any fines should this prove to be unlawful.
P&0 ferries are owned by DP World, one of the largest logistic companies, they will probably see any fines as short change.

Not much said about all the customers they have let down also.
People were turning up for sailings right up to the announcement and then had to find alternatives.

I assume people will still have bookings with them even now.

I don't think I would want to travel with them when they start up again, apart from the actual fact of giving a company like that your business you would have to worry about the competency of the new crews.

This is Shiney's car having a moan. He took me to a car wash (haven't had a wash for three years and was looking forward to it) but I found it very traumatic. It was one of those car washes where a man hoses me down first and then tells Shiney to move me along until my wheels are sitting on the automatic conveyor. He managed to do that without too much trouble and then I was dragged forward through the system.

He was told that my engine must be kept on and that is where my trauma began. My proximity sensors didn't like the brushes and all the other peculiar things and kept screaming all the time and flashing red lights on the computer screen. I think Shiney didn't like that either.

I'm now going to have to go through this every month as he has got a free monthly car wash, for a year, with his car insurance! :cry3:

Oh, @shiney why does this remind me of a time many years ago when I went through a car wash and the wild time I had inside because my cat was with me! :roflol: Thanks for the laugh!

(that was back when I didn't know I was allergic to the little sweeties)

My car insurance is due next month.
So I got the renewal price through with a letter saying I dont have to do anything as it will renew automatically.
I been doing a few price comparisons and to be honest none seemed to be much different to the renewal price.
But anyway I dont like the way that they set them to renew as a default so I went into my account and turned off auto renewal and left them my explanation for doing so.

Just had a text message saying they will knock £45 off of the renewal price if I give them a call.

Am I being synical, or were they just hoping to rip me off.

I'm labelling up the various tupperware containers in the potting shed.

It is a constant annoyance to me this NPK business - I always mix up the Potassium and Phosphorous. Why can't it be NPhPo - or even better Leaf Root Fruit - LRF?

                Has the world gone mad?

Why dont you just buy a balanced fertiliser and a high potash one?
All the rest are just OTT for the general public.

I do like a good high potash feed for the flowering annuals - the Surfinia puts on a much better display :spinning:.

The same goes for the Cherry Laurel (one in particular) which will turn yellow if it doesn't get a high Nitrogen feed. I don't know why this particular Laurel goes yellow - when the one next to it doesn't.

I'm also trying to go more organic - so I need to know what is in bonemeal for example - will it help the Laurel or will it be good for the Surfinia. Neither as it happens - it's full of Phosphorous.

A general purpose 7-7-7 just doesn't do it for me - if you know what I mean....

No I dont know what you mean, because in almost all cases the plants will pick up the part of the fertiliser which they need and not the parts they dont.
Admittedly container growing needs to be a bit more targeted but straight fertilisers are not good IMO far too easy to overdo it.
Ok then add a high nitrogen to the other two, balanced and high potash,.

I was looking on the shelves in a garden center today and its totally stupid.
                      Fertilisers
for almost every different plant from citrus to olive to fuchsia to orchids to even box hedges, the list goes on.
                      Racket or what?

Of course they were! That's how it works. :noidea: I'd be inclined to ask them , 'I'm sure you can do a bit better than that?'.

Re fertilisers:- we don't use them at all as it would cost a fortune in our garden. Home made compost and the occasional light spreading of bonfire ash is what they get.
