That's terrible! They must have been close to shutting anyway.
Our council is apparently on the verge of filling a 117 (might be 114) which is in essence, bankruptcy. So that would probably have a similar effect on our local pool and leisure centre due to subsidies.

Moonlighting ran from 1985 and is supposed to have started Bruce Willis's career.

He actually had hair in the series. :heehee:

When I moved to this house there was a Council Bin almost outside my house.

About 3 years ago during a Police chase this bin was hit/smashed.

So Thanet District Council remove the bin but left 3 bolts sticking up. I phone the council, who said they would look into it.

Yesterday a Kent County Council lorry turned up & painted around the damaged area with Yellow paint.

Today another vehicle from KCC arrived and painted the damaged area with White paint.

Now that is ridiculous, surely one of the workers would have enough common sense just to cut off the bolts. I suppose the contractors get paid for each stage of work, so it's not in their interest to fix it first time.

Well lets face it they even do that with potholes, they prefer to paint round them rather than fill them.

Yeah it seems to be one contractor that does the paint then another contractor to come and fill them with a papier mache. Basically it's a cash cow funded by council tax payers.
