Diesel is on average 5p a litre more expensive than petrol in our area. Diesel is 145.9p a litre in our area but I am only paying £105.9 with the fuel card and claiming the vat.

I see the supermarkets have been told to make prices more clear for shoppers, especially Asda who's owners have been grilled by MP's on fuel prices and jobs.

Asda owners rapped by MPs over reluctance to open up on fuel prices and jobs | Financial Times (ft.com)

There is to much racketeering going on in the UK with travel agents being unscrupulous when advertising flights. They show fares cheaper than booking direct with the airline, which in the past would be the best option, not anymore. By the time you add check-in luggage the fare is more expensive than booking direct with the airline. An example, a flight from Glasgow to Bangkok with KLM some travel agents advertise the fare £30 cheaper than booking direct, but where KLM charge £80 for one 23kg baggage, some travel agents are charging £151.

I do not even use booking.com or hotels.com anymore for accommodation. I have registered as a member with a number of hotel chains, booking direct has always worked out cheaper and your more likely to get an upgrade.

Diesel is about 3p cheaper than petrol at Morrisons around here and has been a few weeks.

As a friend said to me, where does the money those people make come from, and who makes it? Far better to contact the place directly, and obtain a reductoin without payingthe middleman.

My Red paper/card Bag wasn't emptied this morning, all the other neighbours bags were.
I tried to report it online to TDC, but the site wouldn't let me, so I phoned, and the recorded message said to report it online!!!!

I will put it in the general rubbish bin or burn it.

Just taken out a new house insurance for £90 less than the renewal price on my old one, with pretty much the same cover.
They like to do the automatic renewal thing, hoping you cant be bothered to cancel, but they had put it up £50 more than last year.
Greed, it doesn't work, the chances are if they had just put it up by 10 to 15 pounds I might have just let it ride, and they would still have my business but £50 was a few steps far enough to get me looking around.

The letter usually starts with something like, good news, we've found you the best offer. Then you phone to cancel, and their best offer magically becomes so much better. This happened to me with car insurance once. The guy asked what my cheapest offer elsewhere was. I told him. He said 'oh I can beat that'. I told him too late, I can't trust a company that lies to me, they said the original offer was their best, now they're saying otherwise. I'll shop elsewhere.

Bialetti coffee pot gaskets, (AKA washers, seals...). UK online retail, £5.25p each, delivered. ChinaChinaChina, £1.80 for two, delivered. I guess the old one will last two weeks then.

Our house and car insurances are on a multi policy with Admiral. The renewal was £250 more than last year. By shopping around for separate insurances I found cheaper deals using different companies. Rang Admiral to cancel and lo and behold they had some extra discounts they can apply for loyal customers and they were within a whisker of the previous year. They all play the same game hoping customers will pay the extra without trying to barter down the price or check elsewhere.

Yeah, they come down but you have to ask them, the point is they should offer you a competitive price as a renewal in the first place instead of trying to screw you, I think we all need to just ignore them and go elsewhere and not make contact other than to cancel direct debits or other ongoing payments.

From September 17, most 30mph speed limits in Wales are changing to 20mph. This will make Wales one of the world’s first countries to have a default 20mph limit.

                        That's because it's not a good idea.
