      I certainly agree .

I have a couple of track suit bottoms that are well over 20 years old, that I wear all the time at home (only one at a time) and also do my gardening in them. I also go shopping in them and to places where I don't think I need to dress up. They're my most comfortable clothes. I suppose I should wash them at some time :loll:

On the few occasions I need to wear smarter clothes I have some shirts and a few pairs of trousers That are probably 30+ years old but look new because I rarely wear them. I have three jackets that look even newer which are over 60 years old! I also still have the dress suit that I got married in 58 years ago but not sure I can fit into that!

No landline/Internet again!! Went out Sunday at 10,30pm in the middle of us watching a Da Vinci Inquest episode. Running off SIM card in mobile. I wonder how long this outage will last. :wallbanging:

Just got half way through watching a film and turned it off.
Just loud music and people mumbling in low voices.
I had the volume up full to try and catch what they were saying which meant the music was deafening.

What is wrong with the sound track on some films these days.

Even on non drama type programmes they now have annoying background music. I watched (started watching) 'Fantasy Homes By The Sea' and even they have a repetitive background tune that was totally unnecessary so I switched to another programme. It was not particularly loud or obtrusive but just irritating.

There is a setting on my TV where you can reduce the background music (so obviously a known problem) but you can't get rid of it.

It isn't only films, documentaries on the tv are also noisy and I find them gimmicky, I tried watching one last night, on art, it was about the impressionists but it wasn't very good. And when the presenter stood in the middle of some town holding a weasel in his arms and a loudly squeeling pig on a lead I switched it off.

Me too, my problem is old age and losing my hearing. Shouldn't be an issue for a youngster like you @pete.

Conversely, when we watch a film as a family, the younger ones want subtitles on. It gives them a chance to have a phone conversation at the same time.
