How did we get into a situation where kids go hungry if the school doesn't feed them?

 

Aha! A ready made chicken curry from Aldi, 50% off! Kewl!! It would be rude not to buy it!

Got home, looked at the sleeve, heated it up. Oh dear. "Vindaloo", and pretty hot! Bummer!

I dislike food that's so spicy that while eating it you feel someone has prised your mouth open, pulled your tongue out, rested it on an anvil, hit it with a hammer, shoved it back in, and closed your mouth with an uppercut. GAH!

 

It's seems everywhere nowadays people riding around illegally on motorbikes, no license, no insurance, often under age. Coppers do nothing about it.

It seems they wait til some innocent kid gets killed before they actually get involved.

It happens in my road quite regularly, they normally wear hoods and cover their faces, they race around the blocks and the noise is deafening.
If they were to collide with a lampost or telegraph pole I certainly wouldn't bother going out to help them.

There was also a piece on the TV regarding shoplifting, they just go round in gangs, force their way in, grab what they want and leave, apparently the police dont even bother turning up in something like 70% of the cases.

 

I watched two young persons riding electric scooters past two Police Officers in town, the Police carried on talking to each other.

 

I think we need a period of zero tolerance in this country, just to sort these kids out, they know the law cant be bothered and even if they are its just loads of paperwork and years to get to court.
On the spot fines for their parents would be a start, or lock the kids up until the parents pay the fine.

 

They know the laws better than most.

There's a reason they wear masks and no helmet. Police guidelines say they can't give chase if the riders are not wearing helmets, because it makes it too risky. And seeing as most police vehicles have cameras now they cover their faces so it's impossible to prove who it was from video footage.

But what if the coppers do give chase? There were riots a few weeks ago after two kids crashed an illegal electric motorbike while being followed by police.

 

It doesn't really matter whether they care or not, the fine goes to the parents, kind of fixed penalty notice, pay up or it gets bigger.

 

They use a local playing field around here, they are within earshot of Kent police headquarters, it wouldn't be rocket science to block all entrances at the same time and at least confiscate the bikes.

 

I've given up reporting illegal vehicles, police don't care, i've even been toll to ring 999 when i see them but when i rang 101 once the call hander answered "999 what's your emergency" so i say my bit then i got tolled off for ringing 999 when i rang 101 and waited over 30 minutes the police service is a waste of space and tax payer money, but this is not a moan at the good police officers is about the way it run and my mouth says very poor and the illegal vehicles are quad bikes and some vehicles which can weigh up to 31 tons i've even said to the call hander that some one is going to get killed but this seem's to be what's needed to happern, even 2 nights ago there was a close one on a blind bend, it just needs the 2 right vehicles to meet and bang

I know a family of 5 kids with a single mum 3 different dads who hardly visit, they go hungry even with free school meals.
But there always seems to be wine, sigs and d***s, seems benefits pays again
