I also find emails to the surgery get a quick response. Also, it is almost impossible to find an email address for our surgery - and I presume others are similar.

Thank you Upsy and good for you, that sounds like proper training, much more valuable. Unfortunately university degree courses are, by their very nature, more theoretical rather than practical, in my mind that doesn't suit some vocations such as car mechanic or electricians or carpenters (trying to prod pete :)

I've seen this in the past with industries, they moan because they are under staffed and then when they take more people on they moan because they are not getting the over time anymore, so need a rise.
Overtime always paid better than normal time.

Here we go again, lets start another panic buy, apparently Sainsburys are doing their best to tell us that tea is in short supply due to the Houthis attacks.
Having said that they say, Dont Panic.:roflol:

Just had an email from the Talent Acquisition Manager asking me to provide evidence of my right to work. I've worked there for the past 20 years and they arrived last week.
Yes new managers do draw three words from a pile of cards, arrange randomly and that's the job title.

                          Right to work?
Never heard of such a thing.
I often wonder if this country is going to survive.

I think Jacob Rees mogg has created a company that makes boxes. Every time someone has to do something just to tick a box he gets 10p. The government just create more and more silly rules to obfuscate and confuse and stop people doing what they're supposed to be doing
